• I recommend a combination of soft colours and textures

• Nothing too formal

• Whites, creams & browns

• Soft pastels like light blue or blush

• Denim and chinos work well

• No shoes & sunnies

• Bring your favourite accessories such as hats or scarfs

• Avoid bold colours & big logos

• Try to mix & match (instead of all wearing white shirts for example)

• Any toys or comforters that your little one may need to get through the session happily AND that you are happy to have in the photos (editing toys out won’t be possible)

• SNACKS. SNACKS. AND SNACKS. Hungry kids won’t have any fun.

The actual photo shoot usually takes between 45-60min. It really all depends on your little one(s) and how much patience they have with me AND you. 

I try to do minimal posing, but aim to get a few classic 'everyone-look-at-the-camera-and-say-cheese' images just so you get a wide variety of photos. Otherwise I will keep it as natural as possible and just work around you and the kid(s). 

I'll guide you to stand in the best spot and maximise the light and location. Other than that, you just be you! I want you to be comfortable and have a really fun time as a family.

• Encourage cuddles as much as possible, moments where you get close with each other

• "Can you hear my heartbeat?" 

• "Can I tell you a secret?"

• "Can I give you a kiss?"

• "Can you hold on to me?"

• "Cuddle me as hard as you can"

• Pick them up for big hugs and blow bubbles into their neck

• Tickle them 

• Chase them or ask them to run towards you, then catch them, twirl or throw them up into the air

• Anything that makes them laugh and connect with you
